2. Principle: Data Minimisation
This website has been developed according to the principle of data minimisation. We only collect data that is strictly necessary for the operation of the website.
What we do NOT do:
- No user fingerprinting or cross-device tracking
- No sale or disclosure of data to third parties
- No newsletter without explicit opt-in
We use a self-developed, anonymous counting system on our own infrastructure that only stores aggregated counters (e.g. "Page X was viewed Y times"). No personal data is collected in this process (see Section 5).
2a. Web Analytics with Google Analytics 4 (via Google Tag Manager)
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), integrated via Google Tag Manager, to statistically analyse and improve the use of our website.
Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Purpose: Analysis of page views, user behaviour and traffic sources to improve our content.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). Google Analytics is only activated after you have given your consent via our cookie banner. Without your consent, no tracking takes place.
Data processing: Google Analytics collects, among other things, IP addresses (anonymised), page views, dwell time, device and browser information. IP anonymisation is enabled by default. Data may be transferred to Google servers in the USA. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Storage period: Data is automatically deleted after 14 months.
Revocation: You can revoke your consent at any time by deleting the LocalStorage entry "cookieConsent" in your browser or by clearing the cookies of this website. The cookie banner will be displayed again on your next visit.

2b. Cookie Settings
A cookie banner is displayed on your first visit to the website. Your decision (accept or decline) is stored in the LocalStorage of your browser. If you consent, analytics cookies from Google Analytics will be set. If you decline, no tracking takes place.

3a. Fonts (Self-Hosted)
This website uses the fonts "Inter" and "Space Grotesk" (original source: Google Fonts). The font files are hosted locally on our own server and delivered from there. No connection to Google servers is made โ your IP address is not transmitted to Google or any other third party.
4. Local Storage
We use LocalStorage in your browser to save the following settings locally:
- Link ratings for tools (๐/โ/๐)
- Favourites
- Colour scheme preference (light/dark)
- Workshop generator playlist
- Voting status (whether you have already voted)
This data remains exclusively in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers. You can delete this data at any time by clearing the browser data for this website.
5. Server-Side Data Processing
In addition to local storage, the following data is processed server-side:
- Link ratings: When you rate a tool link, the rating (tool name, URL, rating) is submitted anonymously via Netlify Forms to help improve link quality.
- Site voting: Your vote (๐/๐ for the website) is aggregated and stored anonymously via Netlify Blob Storage. No personal data is collected โ only the total counter is updated.
- Anonymous usage statistics: We collect anonymous counters for page views, tool clicks, search terms and category filters. No personal data is stored โ no cookies, no IP addresses, no user profiles. The data is stored as aggregated daily counters via Netlify Blob Storage and is used solely to improve our offering.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in quality improvement).
6. Contact Forms
When you contact us via the "Suggest a Tool" or "Feedback" forms, the following data is processed:
- Email address (required field)
- Tool name and URL (required fields for tool suggestions)
- Category, type, description, name (optional)
The data is transmitted via Netlify Forms and forwarded to us by email. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).
We store your enquiry for as long as is necessary for processing.
7. AI-Powered Workshop Generator
The workshop generator uses the API of Anthropic (Anthropic, PBC, San Francisco, USA) to generate a workshop proposal based on your inputs (topic, goal, duration, number of participants).
No personal data is structurally collected in this process. Please do not enter sensitive personal data into the free-text fields. Inputs are not stored and are discarded after processing.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing the configuration tool). Processing takes place via an encrypted API call (HTTPS).

8. Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, the following data is processed:
- Email address (required field)
Registration uses a double opt-in procedure: after subscribing, you will receive a confirmation email. Your address will only be added to the mailing list after you click the confirmation link.
Purpose: Sending our monthly newsletter with tool recommendations and practical tips on transformation topics.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).
Unsubscribe: You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the unsubscribe link in each email or by emailing hello@transformationstools.de. Your data will then be deleted immediately.
Email service provider: The newsletter is sent via Brevo (formerly Sendinblue, Sendinblue GmbH, Berlin / Sendinblue SAS, Paris, France). Brevo is an EU-based service provider. Processing is based on a data processing agreement (DPA).
