PURPOSE

Workshops and trainings lose effectiveness when participants' energy drops or the group hasn't yet shifted into an active working mode. Energizers bring movement, laughter, and fresh energy into the room. They are especially helpful after breaks, in the morning, or during long workshop days to maintain attention and engagement.

HOW TO USE

You select an appropriate energizer from the collection based on group size, available time, and desired effect. The facilitator briefly explains the exercise and leads the group through it, which typically takes 5-15 minutes. It's important to match the energizer to the context and not force participants into activities that make them uncomfortable.

WHAT IT IS

The Energizers Collection is a curated compilation of warm-up exercises and activation games for workshops, trainings, and meetings. The collection on SessionLab includes exercises in various categories such as movement games, creative tasks, and get-to-know activities. The exercises vary in group size, duration, and required materials.

EXAMPLE

Example: You're facilitating a full-day strategy workshop and notice that energy has hit rock bottom after the lunch break. From the Energizers Collection, you choose 'Zip Zap Zop' โ€” a quick movement exercise where everyone stands in a circle and passes impulses to each other. After 5 minutes, the group is awake and focused again for the next work phase.
