PURPOSE
The S3 Delegation Canvas is used to clearly and jointly define the delegation of an area of responsibility (domain). It solves the problem that delegation is often formulated unclearly, leading to misunderstandings, duplication of work, or responsibility gaps. Through the structured clarification of purpose, responsibilities, and constraints, a shared understanding is created between the delegator and the delegate.
HOW TO USE
Fill out the canvas together with the delegating and the receiving party. Clarify the primary driver and purpose of the domain, key responsibilities, constraints, key metrics, and resources. Define the evaluation criteria and the evaluation schedule. Review the canvas regularly to adapt it to changing conditions.
