PURPOSE

Many organizations don't know how their culture concretely affects business results. The Denison Model establishes an evidence-based link between cultural characteristics and organizational performance. It helps leaders identify cultural levers that have measurable effects on business success.

HOW TO USE

Employees and leaders answer a structured questionnaire on four culture traits. Results are visualized in a circular diagram and can be compared with benchmark data. Concrete action areas for culture development are derived from the results.

WHAT IT IS

The Denison Model is a research-based culture diagnostic framework that measures four central traits: Mission, Consistency, Involvement, and Adaptability. Each trait is divided into three sub-indices, yielding twelve culture dimensions in total. The model directly links these dimensions with measurable performance indicators such as revenue growth and innovation capability.

EXAMPLE

Example: You are the HR director of a logistics company and need to demonstrate to the board why the planned culture initiative is a worthwhile investment. With the Denison Model, you show the evidence-based link between culture traits like adaptability and measurable business results. This convinces the CFO that culture work is not a feel-good program but a performance lever.
