PURPOSE
The path from a diagnosed current culture to a desired target culture often remains unclear and abstract. The Culture Building Canvas translates cultural aspirations into concrete attributes and measures. It helps teams agree on shared cultural goals and assign responsibilities for implementation.
HOW TO USE
In a workshop format, the team identifies desired cultural attributes and assigns concrete behaviors and measures to them. The canvas is filled out collaboratively and serves as a binding agreement for culture development. Regular reviews ensure that agreed-upon measures are implemented.

The Culture Building Canvas is a structured worksheet from the MITRE Innovation Toolkit for planning targeted culture development. Example: After a culture assessment, you know your team is too risk-averse and avoids experiments – but how do you concretely change that?
