PURPOSE

The Partnering Toolkit supports organizations in systematically building, maintaining, and regularly reviewing partnerships. It addresses the problem that many partnerships lose quality after initial enthusiasm due to lack of regular reflection and adaptation. The health check criteria enable an objective assessment of partnership quality.

HOW TO USE

The toolkit is used throughout the entire lifecycle of a partnership, from initiation to evaluation. In the setup phase, goals, expectations, and ground rules are clarified. Regular health checks are conducted, evaluating the partnership against defined criteria. From the results, concrete measures for improving collaboration are derived.

WHAT IT IS

The Partnering Toolkit is a comprehensive toolset for managing organizational partnerships. It contains instruments for partnership initiation, agreements, and ongoing governance. The central element is health check criteria that enable regular, structured review of partnership quality across various dimensions.

EXAMPLE

Example: Your NGO has been working for two years with a foundation and a municipality on an education project, but collaboration is increasingly difficult. With the Partnering Toolkit, you conduct a health check, evaluate the partnership against defined criteria, and identify three concrete improvement measures.
